Open Tournaments

In addition to normal Club evenings and online tournaments, Worcester Backgammon Club also organizes and hosts a number of tournaments open to the wider backgammon community. Details of these events can be found by clicking on the links below.
NEW! Worcestershire Open 2025
1st - 3rd August 2025
A new two-day tournament is being launched this year, a part of the main UKBGF Tour with points counting towards the Tour Winners Invitational competition. This will be an 80 player event, with Swiss stages on the Saturday, and knockouts on the Sunday. In addition there will be other events run alongside, such as freerolls, jackpots and super jackpots, a doubles competition etc. Registrations now open...

Worcester Intermediates Open 2025
Saturday 8th November 2025
Worcester Backgammon Club are hosting a one-day event especially for Intermediate players as part of the annual UKBGF tour. Entry is open to those with a rating of up to 1600 in live play. Results from this event count towards awarding places at the annual UKBGF Tour Winners Invitational event.

Weekly Online Tournaments - Weekly online tournaments have been held since April 2020 on heroes.backgammonstudio.com/. These are normally held on a Wednesday night starting at 7.30pm and consist of a knockout competition and consolation.
